Billy Madison (Movie Review)
One of the best films of Adam Sandler's, Billy Madison is the absolutely hilarious film, Sandler long reign as a romantic comedy box office draw triggered. With a strong spirit, with a hint of sensitivity for the fairer sex combined, the former Saturday Night Live with outstanding success is far away from the lewd and crude comedy path and creates a nice medium between outrageous comedy and carefree. It is a path that would follow with box office hits Happy Gilmore, TheWedding Singer, The Waterboy and Mr. Deeds. In Billy Madison, follows the same path to perfection ?
Billy Madison follows the life of a character with the same name (Adam Sandler) ? at the age of 27, unemployed hotel heirs a fortune, which lacks all ambition. The opening scenes capture Billy lying by the pool with his friends, hungover and completely out of my head, and the tone for a film full of funny antics and great one-liners. But Billy is the life of lazinesson the head when his father (Darren McGavin) decides that he wants to retire from running his multimillion-dollar empire Dollar Hotel. He appoints his arrogant and condescending, Eric Gordon (Bradley Whitford) as heir apparent. The appointment comes as a shock to Billy, it would automatically inherit the kingdom, which meant at the time his father retired. But when Billy's father reveals that he paid all of Billy's teachers from kindergarten through high school to his son a rideable, the young man begins to understand why. Billy quickly offered a contract to his father when he notes the K-12 can happen again, then he is in control of the hotel, after all inherit. His father agrees.
When Billy goes through all the grades, meets a new set of friends ? mostly third grade. Also falls in love with his beautiful third grade teacher Veronica Vaughn (Bridgette Wilson), which quickly became Billy as a lazy, self-centered, screw-ups is to be condemned. But then he hasrecognizes his sensitivity and special way with children, and developed an interest in him. Billy is also interested in the gay elementary school principal Max Anderson (Josh Mostel). When Eric Gordon sees that Billy is successfully passed each grade, he blackmails the main Anderson. If Anderson does not go on TV and tell the world that Billy paid for passing, he will tell all about the past in secret, like a professional wrestler Anderson "The Revolting Blob", theaccidentally killed another wrestler in the ring.
As Billy's elementary school friends come to his aid, it is determined that Billy and Eric will fight for the control of the hotels have a "academic decathlon". Now, only Billy's mind to get what he wants most ?
Billy Madison is a film with a series of funny scenes. In one scene, for example, a third grader accidentally "pee on" and is afraid to get on a bus during a trip. Sandler throws water on hisPants and told the other children "peein 'in your pants is cool!" This saves the child from embarrassment. In another scene, Billy calls ex-classmate Danny McGrath (Steve Buscemi) to apologize for the collection of him as a child. After the phone call, Danny crosses Billy off his master list "to kill people." The Later, Danny comes to help Billy.
Overall, this is a funny movie. If you like light-hearted comedy with a touch of outrageous behavior, then you will enjoy this breakoutAdam Sandler hit. Billy Madison is not to be in someone's list of Oscar winners of all time great cinema masterpieces, but it is just as much fun as any movie would. Therefore I have movie as a must-see place. Be sure to check it out ?
